There are two versions of Dynamics GP, Business Essentials and Advanced Management.  Both use the same source code and one can upgrade from one to another by simply changing the registration keys.

 

Business Essentials is for organisations that require core ERP functionality.  It comes with a standard set of modules bundled as a ‘package’ to allow financial management and basic distribution.  Additional modules may be purchased to extend the Business Essentials capability.   This version is based on entry level pricing.

 

Advanced Management is for organisations that require extensive ERP functionality. Advanced Management builds upon Business Essentials with a more comprehensive set of modules including time recording, project accounting/job costing, field service management, manufacturing and advanced analytics.  Additional modules may be purchased to further extend Advanced Management capability.

Powered by Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008, Microsoft Dynamics GP is scalable from a single desktop PC to a cluster of multi-processor servers, therefore easily accommodating a mix of platform requirements.  Microsoft SQL Server can handle virtually unlimited storage and up to thousands of concurrent users, but at the same time is easy to implement and can be tailored quickly to meet specific needs.  As part of the Microsoft.NET suite of applications, Microsoft SQL Server takes full advantage of XML for moving data across platforms.

With access to the module called Modifier with embedded Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, users can work with the most widely used customisation environment in the software industry to quickly adapt Microsoft Dynamics GP information views, add or modify business logic, customise forms and reports, or extend integrations with Microsoft Office applications.  If advanced tailoring is required Benteq can carry this out to provide a solution that does not touch the source code, but that provides a specific solution to our clients’ requirements.
