Accounting Software Solutions
What do Benteq provide?
Benteq sell, implement, support, develop, upgrade, integrate and consult on Dynamics GP, Microsoft CRM (customer relationship management) and SAP accounting software, ERP software solutions and associated products and services to SMB’s (Small/Medium Business).
We specialise in providing end-to-end solutions which can be simply ‘out of the box’ or can encompass customisation, integration to third party systems and full bespoke solutions which we write to specification. Bespoke solutions can be as an add-on to Dynamics GP, Dynamics CRM or SAP Business One, as an add-on to other ERP systems, or stand alone.
The solutions we provide are web enabled with many parts being accessed via a web browser where required. We offer e-commerce solutions for organisations that wish to sell their products and services over the web, advanced warehouse management, field service management, manufacturing, CRM, HR and project accounting for service based organisations; as well as very flexible and functional core accounting and reporting.
Who do we supply?
Our clients operate in a wide variety of sectors and include professional service organisations (architects, surveyors, software and IT companies etc.), goods distributors (including food), sport and leisure, finance, charities and many others.
We have teams that specialise in specific sectors and we can provide case studies and reference sites upon request.
Why do we supply these particular solutions?
Benteq began by working with Dynamics GP, a product the directors and many members of the team have worked with since its arrival in the UK in 1993. Our team was involved with some of the first implementations in the UK and has implemented over 400 Dynamics GP systems. A natural partner for Dynamics GP is MS CRM which is integrated to Dynamics GP.
More recently we have become involved with SAP Business One as this is an excellent complimentary product to Dynamics GP often addressing a slightly different type of client.
How do we know which product is suitable?
Our approach in terms of determining which is the more suitable solution for our clients, is to consult with them about their business activities and system requirements and then to recommend the most appropriate solution. This can sometimes result in providing demonstrations and even proto-types of both for further comparison.
Sometimes either product will cater for the requirements in very much the same way, depending on the clients business. In these cases the decision is usually based on preferred look and feel and best value for money. On other occasions one or other can be ruled out in the very early stages of the first conversation.
Pricing
Pricing between the products does not differ greatly although in some scenarios one product can be more cost effective than the other, depending on user numbers and functionality required. Click here for a quotation.
The three giants – Microsoft, SAP & Oracle
There are three ‘giants’ in the Accounting/ERP software market – Microsoft, SAP and Oracle. Two of these giants have clearly set out their stalls for the small-medium sized market. These are Microsoft and SAP. Oracle does not currently offer a small-mid market product although they have a very strong presence, recently enhanced through acquisitions, at the large corporate end of the business software market.
SAP and Microsoft are able to provide very cost effective solutions at the same time as spending many $billion’s on R&D, because they sell these software products globally, i.e. they get the income from many thousands of new sites per year not just tens or hundred! This funds the ongoing development at a rate that smaller local vendors just cannot compete with. This protects purchasers’ investment by providing ongoing enhancements to the software at no additional cost, enhances the longevity of the solution purchased and ensures an excellent return on investment due to the length of time over which one is likely to be able keep using the software.
These giants are not likely to be bought – it is they that do the buying – therefore you are unlikely to be ‘forced’ onto another product because your software author has been bought by a company who wish to drive you on to one of their other products.
Buying software from one of these big players is definitely the safe bet.
Please let us discuss your requirements and we can very soon give you an indication as to the type of approach we would recommend taking for implementing your system and an indication of pricing.
